Changan Automobile makes its debut in Greece

Strategic partnership with Autohellas Group for its presence in our country

Changan Automobile, one of the largest and fastest growing groups in the Chinese automotive industry, makes its official debut in the Greek market through a strategic partnership with the Autohellas Group, one of the most important players in the automotive sector in Greece and Southeast Europe.

With a 41-year history in vehicle manufacturing, Changan is headquartered in Chongqing and has 21 factories worldwide, employing approximately 110,000 people. Since 1984, it has been producing passenger cars, trucks, and light commercial vehicles, and by June 2025, total sales of its commercial brands exceeded 28.6 million units.

Its portfolio includes its own brands Changan, Deepal, Avatr, as well as joint ventures such as Changan Ford, Changan Mazda, and JMC. Today, it operates internationally, with a presence in more than 90 countries.

The partnership with Autohellas reinforces Changan’s expansion strategy in Europe, introducing a full range of models to the Greek market, from battery electric to plug-in hybrids, combining modern design, advanced technology, and competitive acquisition costs.

The first models to be available in Greece are:

  • the Deepal S07 (D-SUV), which has won the Red Dot Design Award and received the top five-star rating in Euro NCAP crash tests, and
  • the Deepal S05 (C-SUV), which made its European debut at IAA Mobility in Munich.

Changan’s arrival in Greece is expected to boost competition and accelerate the penetration of new forms of mobility, confirming the brand’s international orientation.
